LAMENTATION

Littler they become,

In their futile efforts to be great,

For they seek greatness,

In scandalous pursuit of wealth.

The earth is baking under the blazing sun,

No place spared.

Yet men bake in their souls hate;

Hate of nations and faith.

The poles are melting faster

Or is it mother earth crying?!

The lone prophet has turned mute,

For he see the end dead ahead.

The emperor of darkness is coming

His vile face beaming.

Somewhere in the vastness of space

A God is wailing.......

Another Christmas!

It had been full of love and fun.

Once..

In childhood..

Images of a white Christmas,                                                          

Little coloured serial lights,

Glittering as if celestial stars,

Santa on a lovely sledge,

In a place where snow never fell!

I wish it was not like that.

Laughter of a child went by,

Life got stripped of silly myths..

Glossy images just vanished.

Gaped on me, a huge vacuum!!

I wish it was not like that.

Amid the chimes of bells and sweets,

Amid the spell of gifts and gilts,

Had they placed that Holy Child,

The vacuum could’ve turned to bliss!

A star just rose in clear night sky,

Shining on my worn out self,

Is it star or angel’s smile?

Is it singing heavenly hymns?

In my heart I feel so light.

On my cheeks a baby kissed!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS !!!!!!

PS: In these times when Christ is taken out of Christmas...
